Has the final countdown to the end days begun? Are the heavens telling us we are nearing the end? Astronomers have noticed it is coming. Historians have noted its significance. In 2014 and 2015, there will be a phenomenon in the skies of four blood moons falling during Jewish feasts. This has only happened three times in recorded history: 1493-94, 1949-50 and 1967-68. Each time these dates have had extraordinary significance for the Israelites. From the discovery of the New World to the creation of modern-day Israel, these years of the four blood moons have truly been turning points in history. Bible prophecy describes the moon being darkened and turned to blood. What is the significance of these signs in the skies? What will the future bring? Prophecy expert Mark Hitchcock guides you through the relevant Bible passages so you can understand the times in which you live.

My take on this book:
I am going to admit I have read a few books on the Blood Moons lately and feel like Mark Hitchcock does a great job of explaining his ideas without scaring anyone into believing that the end is near. He provides solid answers to some very thought provoking questions such as  whether the Bible even say anything about Blood Moons, will America face judgement in 2015 and more. He also talks about Isreal,  and the end days.

One thing that really stands out with Blood Moon Rising is that the author provides many scriptural references to back up what he is disclosing to readers. Overall an interesting and informative book that is written in a down to earth way that provides fuel for thought, and just may provide the answers for someone who has wondered just what all the hype is around the four blood moons. Another plus about this book is that I learned more about Jewish feasts than I expected. I found the prophetic checklists interesting and the proposed chronology of the end times shares a timeline of what the author thinks might happen during end times. This is my first time reading anything by this author and I enjoyed his writing style and plan on looking for more of his work.

A complimentary copy of this book was provided for review.
