Each novella includes a scrumptious Southern recipe that's inherent to each author's story and that will suit your book club meeting to a T!

My take on this book:
I have always been a fan of short stories and always enjoy whenever I find a book that allows me to read different authors within the pages, which is what I found Among The Fair Magnolias. Four different short stories by four different authors that have a few things in common. First the time period in which the stories take place  around the civil war era. Secondly they are southern stories. When historical civil war period stories blend together with romance well there is no way that I wont read the story. Each set of characters have their own trials, and while I enjoyed each story and the characters I would have to say that my favorite story in the collection had to be An Outlaw's Heart by Shelley Gray. The characters of Nora and Robert were so easy to like. Their story really packed a lot of punch for a novella. Anyone who enjoys southern historical fiction where history blends together with romance and even a bit of inspiration will enjoy this compilation, I know I did.
