World War II is finally over and the people of Rosey Corner are busy welcoming the boys home. The Merritt sisters in particular are looking toward the future. Kate is eager to start a family and live out her dream of happily ever after with Jay. Evangeline wants a beautiful house and encourages Mike to pastor a big-town church. Victoria wants what can never be--a life with a man who will never come back. And little Lorena is growing up and wondering more and more about her birth family.
Through the heartfelt storytelling of bestselling author Ann Gabhart, readers join these endearing characters as they walk an uncertain road. Each sister must learn to hold her plans with a loose hand, trusting that God will guide and strengthen them as they share the joys and sorrows of life in their little corner of the world.

My take on this book:
Oh how I have loved each book in the Rosey Corner Series, and Love Comes Home is no exception. The time period pulls me in, but it is the close nit small town feel that captures my heart and makes me feel like I have honestly stepped back to a simpler time. The Merritt sisters are such wonderful characters, I could honestly feel the sigh of relief they must have felt when their young men started coming home from the war, and the heartache when some didn't make it back. Plans are being made and we watch the characters grow and change while holding onto their faith. A story where everything isn't always perfect instead it is written just like real life with ups and downs disappointments and triumphs. Ms. Gabhart certainly knows how to create memorable characters that stay with me long after I read the final page of her story. This is the third book in the series and while it could probably be read as a stand alone I would recommend the entire series, just so you can get to know the characters and their backgrounds. Overall, a very good series for anyone who enjoys christian themed romance that will take them back to a simpler time.
