Travel through Bible history with this comprehensible exploration of the Bible, following the key narratives from Genesis to Revelation. Perfect as a child’s first Bible reference, he will travel through Bible lands and times and discover how the people lived: the foods they ate, the homes they occupied, the clothes they wore, and the work they performed. There are sections of study questions throughout to further learning, as well as glossaries and FAQs to help understanding.

My take on this book:
The Candle Bible Handbook brings the Old and New Testaments of the Bible to life by combining visual as well as scriptural information about all sixty-six books of the Bible. There is an outline of each book along with frequently asked questions and plenty of interesting information that allows for a very good overview of each book of the Bible there are even study questions included for further thought. I found the illustrations to be top notch enhancing the subjects. I have actually been studying the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and the illustrations and information included was invaluable to me in helping me visualize the tabernacle. There is also a list of the promises in the Bible, along with important passages, important people and big ideas that will further enhance the usefulness of this wonderful reference book. While the book is geared toward 8-12 year old group it really is a perfect companion for those of any age that want's to familiarize themselves with the major elements of the Bible. Great for home study or any teaching forum for that matter, an invaluable tool that really brings the Bible to life a perfect building block for anyone wanting to study their Bible.
