Psychology professor and criminal profiler Taylor Martin prides herself on being able to solve any crime, except the one she wants most desperately to solve--the disappearance of her father twenty years ago. When she finally has a lead on his whereabouts, Taylor returns home to Logan Point, Mississippi, to investigate. But as she is stalking the truth about the past, someone is stalking her.

Nick Sinclair pens mystery novels for a living, but the biggest mystery to him is how he can ever get over the death of his wife--a tragedy he believes he could have prevented. With his estranged brother the only family he has left, Nick sets out to find him. But when he crosses paths with Taylor, all he seems to find is trouble.

My take on this book:
Twenty-nine year old Taylor Martin has a knack for solving crimes, and Nick Sinclair is looking for his brother and when their paths cross at a crime scene well you really can't help but wonder how this story will play out!
The cover of this book really caught my eye, and when I learned it was a debut novel from a new author well that certainly got me interested. Well what I found within the pages of Shadows Of The Past was a fast paced, suspense fill story that really had more than a few mysteries that needed answers, and it was wanting to learn what the answers were that kept me turning the pages. Just when I felt like I had something figured out then bam something else would pop up. More than a few twists did keep me guessing and when I finally figured out the who and why of the story well lets just say it wasn't what I expected! Fans of fast paced, suspense filled, mysteries with strong characters and an even stronger plot will certainly find this one a book that they won't put down.
