My take on this Bible:
As a collector of Bibles I am always excited to get the opportunity to review a new Bible from Thomas Nelson. "The Gaither Homecoming Bible" is more than just another Bible though, it's a wonderful keepsake for fans of the Gaithers, or anyone who is looking for a beautiful Bible filled with gems of wisdom from some of the top Gospel Singers today.Some of my favorite contributors are TaRanda Greene,The Hoppers, Mark Lowry and of course Bill and Gloria Gaither. To review this one I am going to start at the beginning. The first several pages gives the reader a brief history of the many people who contributed to the making of this Bible. Then we have a place for family records, such as births marriages, husband and wife's history. The Bible text itself is in a nice sized font, and because it is a NKJV it is easier to understand. Peppered throughout the scripture are inspirational and insightful Scripture devotions from the many contributors. In addition there are hymns, gospel songs as well as some of the Gaither classics along with the stories that inspired them. In addition to there are original inspiring poems by Gloria Gaither. Amazing, fantastic wonderful, is doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this Bible. The "Gaither Bible" is a one of a kind collectors item that will become a keepsake for years to come. I enjoy turning the pages and reading the different insights from some of my favorite entertainers in Gospel music. This Bible would make an amazing gift, for someone you love or if you're a Gaither fan like I am your certainly going to want this beautiful Bible on your shelf. Highly recommended!
