Book Description

March 27, 2012 Deep in the Heart of Texas

Shirlene Dalton has it all: a dream marriage to a man who spoils her rotten and the most outrageous mansion Bramble, Texas, has ever seen. But when her husband unexpectedly dies, Shirlene finds herself right back where she started-in a rundown trailer on the wrong side of the tracks. Never the type to let a little bad luck and a whole heap of heartache get her down, Shirlene is ready to prove to the local gossips she can make it on her own . . . until she ends up living next door to the most tempting cowboy in town.
Billy Wilkes has a score to settle and a plan to wipe Bramble right off the map. But when his sexy, redheaded neighbor figures out what he's up to, his good ol' boy charm won't be enough to save him. With the town on his tail, Billy will have to come clean quick-or kiss Shirlene goodbye.

My take on this book:
If I had to describe this book in one word it would be hilarious!

Shirlene Dalton grew up in a run down trailer in Bramble, Texas, and now after the unexpected death of her husband, she finds herself right back where she started from. Thing is this time there is a hunky cowboy named Billy Wilkes living next door, and the attraction is electric.

What a fun read, the dialogue really makes this story, I love the twangy sayings that gave the book a real country feel for me. I am always a fan of stories set in a small town with quirky characters and Bramble certainly has its share of them. Overall if your looking for a fun read that will have you laughing out loud along with a good romance then look no further because your going to find just that in this story.

A WYOMING SKY NOVEL

The Truth Can Be an Irresistible Temptation . . .

As a young boy, Quinn Conway was shattered by his mother's mysterious disappearance. Today, as the oldest of the Conway brothers, his only concern is protecting his family and their ranch. One look at beautiful, strong-willed Cheyenne O'Brien tells him she's also no stranger to tragedy. A series of increasingly dangerous "accidents" are plaguing her and her land, and Quinn can't stand idly by while a woman is in danger. Fiercely independent, Cheyenne isn't one to lean on others, yet she can't deny her attraction to the rugged rancher offering help. Soon, the passion building between them proves as wild and untamed as the land she loves-and just as impossible to resist. But a relentless enemy is about to make one final devastating move. To survive, Quinn and Cheyenne must put their cherished freedom-and their hearts-at risk . . .

My take on this book:
I always enjoy reading a good cowboy story and with this one not only do we get romance but we also get a bit of suspense.
Cheyenne O'Brien is used to handling things herself, but when Quinn Conway offers his help after several accidents start happening on her ranch she isn't sure she wants his help. Soon though they are drawn to each other. Can Quinn keep Cheyenne safe, and what about the chemistry between the two, will they give in or resist?

This book was just what I was looking for in a nice escape story. While it was pretty easy to figure out who the bad guy was the author still held my attention with the relationship that developed between the lead characters. I also enjoyed the wonderful descriptions of Wyoming, the author easily made me feel as if I was right there. Fans of western romance will certainly enjoy this one, I know I did!
I was provided a complimentary copy of these books in exchange for an honest review.
