My take on this book:
I love animals and whenever I get the opprotunity to read a story that revolves around an animal, especially a dog, I jump at the chance.
The title of this book says it all, "Sasha, Extraordinary Dachshund" because this little dog certainly was.The author shares the journey from first falling in love with a tiny little Dachshund in Jan 1994. They took her home and called her Sasha.We see how Sasha becomes a beloved member of the Adams household, with her wonderful personality, she was a dog who never met a stranger and never feared anyone. When Sasha develops health issues at the age of four the Adam's decide to seek whatever treatment available to keep their beloved pet with them, and find themselves turning to holistic medicine as well as acupuncture. They used these treatments in addition to traditional veterinary medicine and enjoy their wonderful companion for several more years.
I really enjoyed reading this story. This was a story that really touched my heart. It was so easy to envision Sasha, as well as the other members of the Adam's family. It was easy to see the depth of devotion that dog and owner shared.I also enjoyed the pictures peppered through out the story. A great little story about a wonderful dog, perfect for anyone who has ever been touched by the love of an animal.
