Synopsis:
DOUBLE TROUBLE

Faith Aldridge wants answers. Bramble, Texas is the only place she can find them . . . as well as Hope, the identical twin sister she never knew she had. But the townsfolk reckon that shy city-girl Faith is really her long-lost sister Hope, back in Bramble at last. And they're fixin' to do whatever it takes to heat things up between her and Hope's long-time flame, Slate Calhoun. If that means rustling her car, spreading rumors like wildfire, and reining in some explosive secrets, well, there's no way like the Lone Star way . . .

But Slate's no fool. The woman in his truck may look like Hope, yet the way she feels in his arms is altogether new. He's determined to keep this twin in his bed and out of his heart. Trouble is, the real Hope is headed home, and she's got her own designs on Slate. If Faith wants to avoid heartbreak, she'll have to show a certain ruggedly handsome cowboy that this crazy-impossible love is worth fighting for.

My take on this book:

"Going Cowboy Crazy"the first book in the Deep In The Heart Of Texas series and  is Katie Lane's debut novel, and boy does she create an interesting story. Faith Aldridge knew she was adopted, but when her dying stepmother reveals that she actually has a twin sister named Hope living in Bramble Texas, Faith decides to travel from Chicago to Texas to get some answers. Faith winds up in Bramble and goes into a bar named The Bootlegger's Bar and is immediately mistaken for Hope, who was actually has been in Hollywood for five years. She decides to play along with the locals letting them think she is Hope, so that she can get a few answers about her sister. Turns out she fools everyone but Slate Calhoun who was Hope's high school sweetheart. Everyone in town continues to believe that Faith is actually Hope and become determined to see the high school sweethearts reunited and decide to take plans into their own hands.

What a fun read, I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. The uptight city girl, winding up in Texas is easily out of her element, but in the end she lands a cowboy anyway! A fast paced story with plenty of quirky characters, fans of contemporary romance with a western flare will certainly enjoy this book.

Synopsis:
THERE'S A NEW BRIDE IN TOWN!

Hope Scroggs is finally ready to get hitched. After years of sowing her wild oats, the former head cheerleader and homecoming queen has returned to Bramble, Texas, to marry her high school flame. But her perfect wedding plans are stomped to smithereens when her adoring cowboy two-steps down the aisle with someone else. Now Hope is stuck with the one man from her past she can't shake: Colt Lomax, an irresistible bad boy whose sultry kisses are hotter than the Panhandle in August . . .
Colt lives for freedom and the open road; he never gets attached, never looks back. Still, he can't forget the night of passion he once shared with Bramble's sweetheart--a night he wouldn't mind repeating. So, he piles on the Texas charm to tease the feisty beauty back into his bed, while she tries her darnedest to resist. But something unexpected is about to tie their fates together . . . and oh, baby, will it ever!

My take on this book:
In "Make Mine A Bad Cowboy" we get to meet Hope Scroggs aka Hog who is Faith's twin sister. Hope is totally devastated that the dreams of her wedding day were actually being lived out by someone else. Turns out that someone else is her new found twin sister Faith. But when she catches the bridal bouquet, could it be that she just might be the next to marry and have her happily ever after?
This is the second book in the Deep In The Heart Of Texas series, but could be read as a stand alone work. The same cast of quirky town characters appear in this book making it a fast paced often laugh out loud read. I will say while I enjoyed this book, I didn't like Hope's character nearly as well as I did her sister Faith. Hope's attitude really put me off. The relationship between Colt and Hope is electric, a twist thrown in added to the relationship. I really think that the community involvement in this series really adds to the story.
Fans of fast paced contemporary romance fiction will certainly enjoy this series. I for one hope we get another book set in the tiny town of Bramble.

I received complimentary copies of these books in exchange for an honest review.
