My take on this book:
This book is a historical christian romance fiction set during 1878 in the Colorado Rockies. Sarah Caldwell and Cord Wainright's have always been expected to carry on the feuding that has transpired between the two families for years, but when they start falling in love, will they ignore their feelings, and what will their families do?
The author easily drew me into this one, she quickly captured my imagination with her descriptive writing allowing me to visualize the story as it unfolded. You can easily feel the emotions of the two families involved, and I like that the author showed both sides of the feud.Sarah was a character that was very easy to relate to. At eighteen, she really is a pretty strong willed person, and while she really wants nothing to do with the feud her father persuades her for the sake of her brother.I really understood her loyalty to her family, even though she didn't agree with them. I really enjoyed watching the relationship blossom between Sarah and Cord. I felt like the secondary characters really added to this story, and I hope some of them get their own stories.
The eye catching cover will certainly draw your attention to this book but the  great plot and interesting characters will keep you reading. If your a fan of historical inspirational fiction with a nice romance woven in then your going to enjoy "A Heart Divided" which is the first book in Kathleen Morgan's new series Heart Of The Rockies.
