A Review of the Heart Mender by Andy Andrews and a giveaway

This story starts out with the author Andy Andrews removing a tree from his backyard and unearthing a sealed can with Nazi artifacts. The find leads him on an amazing historical quest . When he first starts talking about a German U-Boat and using some German dialect, he almost lost me, but I am so glad that I continued reading because the true story was actually about Josef Landermann who was an officer aboard a u-boat patrolling the waters along the northern gulf coast, and Helen Mason a woman whose husband had just been killed in the war. A twist of fate brings these two people together, and what happens is an amazing story of forgiveness that opens their  hearts to a second chance at love. This is a fictionalized account of the true love story between Helen and Josef  along with an amazing glance at some of our country's history that few of us know about. This is the first Andy Andrews book that I have read but it certainly won't be the last. I was furnished a free copy of this book from Thomas Nelson publishing to review but in no way did it alter my opinion of this book. I would rate it 5stars and say that it is one of the best books I have read this year. For the first person to leave a comment telling me that they would like to read this book  I will send you a free copy. Just  be sure and leave your email address so I can contact you.
