My take on this book:
If You Were Me and Lived in Ancient Greece will allow young readers to learn some very interesting information about what it might have been like to have lived in ancient Greece. The first page starts with an illustrated drawing of Greece today and then we get an illustration of what it might have been like during 350 B. C. The author shares what a boy or girls name might have been, a little bit about how the government worked, how someone might have dressed and where their clothes might have came from. The olympics is even touched on, there is even a list of gods and goddesses of Ancient Greece. Very informative and the illustrations really enhance the historical telling, allowing one to really visualize what it might have been like. Perfect for homeschooling but really great in any educational setting. A neat way to teach youngsters about history.
