My take on this book:

As someone who has several dear friends who are quilters My Mother's Quilts by Ramona Richards really spoke to me. First of all the beautiful cover is such a relaxing scene that sets the mood for devotional reading. Each devotion opens with a scripture verse and then shares a devotional based on conversations that she shared with her mother about quilts, something that her mother not only did as a hobby, but many of the women in her family also quilted. The devotional then wraps up with a prayer starter. What makes this devotional stand out more than any other that I have uses are the beautiful pictures that are woven through the text. From the family photos to the beautiful quilts the pictures truly set the mood for the devotionals. The author stitches together stories of love, faith and family to make a devotional that is very relatable to anyone looking for a refreshing yet spiritual devotional time with God. A beautiful devotional that is perfect for gift giving, whether you're a quilter or just enjoy quilts there are words of encouragement and inspiration woven into the pages of My Mother's Quilts that will bolster your spirit.
