In the middle of the big move to a new apartment with her five favorite felines, Millie Holland discovers a mysterious letter in her inbox. She is unaware that when she opens the email, she will be faced with a challenge to solve the sender's riddles within three days or someone is going to lose their life.

Determined to succeed, she will push herself to solve the puzzling clues to reveal the identity of the sender and save a life. Has Millie met her match? Will she solve the mystery in time, before it's too late?

Read to find out.

Millie is back in this exciting new mystery. This is the fourth book in the popular Millie Holland Cozy Mystery Series.

My take on this book:
I have been on a reading binge since discovering Nancy C. Davis and her cat mystery series! With The One That Got Away we get another story from The Millie Holland  series and this one just might be the best of the series yet!

While reading the emails from her Dear Diane column, Millie opens an email that threatens murder if she can't solve the riddles in three days. Of course Millie loves solving a good mystery, and the riddles certainly aren't so easy to solve, but as the clues start to fall into place she realizes just who the intended victim is. Can she figure it out before it's to late?

Millie is such an interesting character, and boy does she wind up smack dab in the middle of danger! She doesn't give up, and I find humor in the fact that she is willing to play the "old lady" card when she has to. This book has action, more than a few twists and a even some fun movie trivia. We are also introduced to a new character Officer Kyle Dugan and since he is moving to Ft. Lauderdale I am sure we will see more of him in the future. Anyone who enjoys a good cozy mystery, especially with cats involved will find this a purrfect read. I do recommend reading the entire series, not because I don't think this book couldn't be read as a stand alone, it could because the author provided enough background information, but because its a fun series that provides for interesting story lines, and not so easy to solve mysteries! My only complaint is I have to wait for the next installment.
