The documentary featuring Rags, the cat who helps the local sheriff’s department solve tough crimes, premieres in San Francisco. Savannah, Michael and friends expect to enjoy a luxury weekend at a mansion there, but Rags has other plans. He goes exploring and goes missing. Savannah and Aunt Margaret find themselves knee deep in danger when they launch out to find him and he discovers something that shocks the community. What ghastly secret does the mansion hold?
My take on this book:
Rags the klepto cat is a mystery solving cat whose found celebrity, in fact the opening of this book has Rags and his human gang are headed to San Francisco for the premiere of the documentary featuring Rags and his ability to solve mysteries. When Rags comes up missing though one thing leads to another. Soon secrets are uncovered and of course there is a mystery to be solved.
The great thing about this entire series is the way that Ms. Fry portrays the cats, the interactions seem very realistic. There is humor and more than a few twists that keeps the plot moving along. I always enjoy the gems of humor woven through out the stories as well. Anyone who enjoys a good, clean, cozy mystery will enjoy this series. Cat lovers will find it a purrfect read! While I do feel like Ms. Fry provides enough background information that you could read this book as a stand alone I highly recommend reading the entire series in order to fully understand the relationships between the characters. Overall Mansions of Meows is another great addition to the Klepto Cat Mystery series! Highly recommended.
