My take on this book:

I love this series and have been discussing it with a friend of mine and she totally agrees the only dislike is waiting for the next installment of the book, but anticipating what might come next makes it well worth the wait! Truthfully though I actually read the novel Where Leads The Heart the full length novel that this serial story are reprinted from.  The saga between Rand and Sarah continue. It's obvious that Rand still loves Sarah but his fiancee is determined to marry him. Plenty of twists provide keep this story moving on at a brisk pace making for a quick historical read that really does leave the reader wanting more! Anyone who enjoys good clean historical fiction where the ending really isn't assured will certainly enjoy this entire series, and speaking of which The Journey of the Heart series should be read in order to understand the complexities of the characters. I really can't wait to read A Heart's Betrayal the next book in the series!
