Book 1 of The Bounty's Return series A new job, a new love...and someone out for revenge. Hotelier Kate Quintal and her sister Jen are hired to run a new luxury hotel on Pitcairn Island. Anticipating only the hard work that running the new facility would entail, a burgeoning romance with the burly and handsome Bryce Brown is the last thing she expected. With a new love and the success of the island's new tourism endeavor, life seems sweet. So, why are things suddenly falling apart? Who is trying to sabotage the hotel, and why? Kate finds herself fighting, not only for her job, or her heart...but her life.

My take on this book:
Quintal's Return by Nadine Christian is filled with plenty of twists, suspense and romance that easily transported me to Pitcairn Island. Jen and Kate Quintal look enough alike that they could be twins, but that's where the similarities stop, Jen is outgoing and impetuous, never really worrying about anything, while her older sister Kate is more practical.  So  when the pair accepts a job on  Pitcairn Island managing the new luxury hotel Bounty's Retreat, romance was the last thing on Kate's mind. When she meets Bryce Brown, there is an instant attraction, but someone doesn't want them together, and is determined to do whatever it takes to keep them apart including jeopardizing the hotel's success. As Kate unravels the mystery of who is behind the sabotage things escalate, and soon Kate's life is in jeopardy.

Quintal's Return is a visual feast for the imagination! the author choice of words paints a beautiful portrait of Pitcairn Island. I honestly could imagine the scenery as the author described it. The island really had a small town feel, and the sense of community was great! I loved the characters of Jen and Kate, Jen seemed like a fly by the seat of your pants girl, while Kate was a more planned person, never really stepping out of her comfort zone, which made the romance that developed between Kate and Bryce much more interesting, and speaking of romance, the sizzle between Kate and Bryce was electric! While there were a few sex scenes they were very well written and really added to the story. From the townspeople to the varied guests at the hotel, the cast of characters was interesting keeping the plot moving along. The suspense of the woman scorned and what she might be planning really revved up the story, but in the end the author allowed me to feel empathy for her. Suspense and romance readers are in for a real treat, but anyone who enjoys a great escape to a sunny island is in for a real treat with this visually stimulating story  that left me feeling like I had actually take a trip to Pitcairn Island!
