My take on this book:

Candle Bedtime Bible contains stories from the Old and New Testament that are either three, five or ten minute stories. The neat thing is the table of contents is coded making it easy to choose a story based on the time you have to spend reading to your youngster. There is also a tiny sheep at the top of each story with the time placed in their tummy, so cute! I actually timed myself as I read a few stories and found that the time was very accurate. There are forty-two stories that range from Adam and Eve,Noah Building the Ark ,the first Easter, and Jesus returns to his father. The book is arranged from Old Testament to New, and really brings some of the most beloved Bible stories to life in a simplistic way with plain language and brightly colored illustrations that will certainly capture a youngsters eye. A sturdy hardback cover will make this a book that will withstand repeated use. I only wish that it had a presentation page for gift giving. Anyone looking for a colorful, and easy to understand book to introduce their youngsters to some of the most prominent stories of the Bible should really consider this book. Not just for bedtime reading, this book would be great in Sunday School, or anytime you want to expose your favorite youngster to the Bible.
