When librarian Laura Griffith's sixteen-year-old sister disappears on a frigid February day, leaving only a brief note behind, Laura resolves to do whatever it takes to track down the runaway teen. That includes recruiting ATF agent turned PI James "Dev" Devlin to help. But the deeper he digs, the more he begins to suspect that something sinister is at work in the girl's disappearance. And the closer he gets to uncovering the truth, the clearer it becomes that the situation isn't just dangerous--it's deadly.

Chilling and at times terrifying, Trapped is the latest thrilling read from Irene Hannon, the queen of romantic suspense. Hannon outdoes herself with this fast-paced tale of fear, deception, and just the right dose of romance.

My take on this book:
Irene Hannon certainly has a knack for delivering fast paced suspense filled dramas that packs a punch early on in the story and continues to deliver right up until the final pages!

Laura Griffith is an older sister that seems to have to many rules or that's how her sixteen year old sister Darcy feels. Darcy's answer is to run away, and leaves her sister a note and does just that. Laura is determined to find her sister whatever the cost and hires Private Eye James Devlin.  What James uncovers makes him realize that Darcy is in danger, can he find her before it's to late?

Well written characters made this story easy to connect with. Laura was such a nice character, and seemed to sincerely care about her sister. Darcy seemed to be a spoiled brat in the beginning but really matured as the story progressed.Ms. Hannon knows how to create a creepy villain and she delivers in spades with the on in "Trapped!" I thought The Phoenix group was quite interesting, they were sort of like a family themselves. I found the fast paced feel of the story to be great, along with suspense there is shades of humor woven in that rounds out the story quite well.  Anyone who enjoys a well written mystery/suspense with the right blend of romance and threads of humor will certainly find this a great read I know that I did!
