While reading God’s Word, we often marvel at his glory. This hardcover NIV Bible enables you to study God’s word and sing for joy with the lyrics to the Top 50 worship songs. It doubles as a songbook allowing you to burst into a joyful noise. In addition, you’ll enjoy the scripture-based reflections representing the inspiration behind each song. Includes chord charts for the Top 20 tunes making this the perfect resource for your personal or small group study and worship.

My take on this Bible:
As a collector of Bible's I found the NIV Worship Bible to be unique, because it not only reveals the story behind fifty of the most popular and beloved worship songs, it also doubles as a songbook by providing the words to those songs, but in my opinion that's about the extent of this NIV version Bible. As someone who grew up singing and listening to many of the songs included in this Bible it was neat to learn the story behind the song. An easy to use Bible, the first thing I noticed when I opened the cover was that the print is easy on the eye. The scripture is in the easy to understand NIV version. It is easy to navigate thru the pages to find the songs peppered thru the scriptures because there is a handy index of songs in the back. There is also an article at the back of the Bible titled Song as Worship written by John J. Thompson that discusses what worship is and shares a brief history of Worship Music along with a few paragraphs on worship beyond music. While this is a handy little Bible that focuses on worship with song that is about the extent of what you get. While I did enjoy reading the story behind the worship songs, that alone wouldn't justify me purchasing this otherwise plain NIV version. If you're looking for a NIV version Bible this one might be for you, but if you already own one you're really not going to miss anything by skipping this purchase, because most of the information that's included in this Bible could easily be found online.

A complimentary copy of this Bible was provided for review.
