My take on this book:
When an outlaw's daughter want's a preacher for her birthday, what's her outlaw daddy to do but have someone go out and kidnap,or preachernap,one for her! After all it's Joanna Robbins twenty-first birthday and she deserved something big, after all she is still grieving the loss of her mother.Truth is Jo has been praying for a preacher to come along and help revive their little community church, but she never imagined the lengths her father would go to to bring a preacher to her. When her father kidnaps Crockett Archer and brings him home for her birthday she knows she will have to let him go because he has other plans, but she can't help but hope he might decide to stay!
I found myself immediately drawn to this book because of the cover,and title,after all I couldn't imagine what "Stealing The Preacher" might entail, but I have to say it was the attention grabbing story that kept me turning the pages to see where and what would happen next! I found myself loving these characters and even understanding the reasoning of why Joanna's father did what he did! I loved the lively conversations that literally brings the story to life. I also enjoyed the historical feel of the story! Fans of historical fiction that enjoy stories that provide more than a few laughs along with several smiles, a lively cast of characters and a nice, inspirational romance will find themselves devouring "Stealing The Preacher" in one sitting, I know that I did! An unputdownable read for me!
