About Undeniably Yours
When Meg Cole’s father dies unexpectedly, she’s forced to return home to Texas and to Whispering Creek Ranch to take up the reins of his empire. The last thing she has the patience or the sanity to deal with? Her father’s Thoroughbred racehorse farm. She gives its manager, Bo Porter, six months to close the place down.
Bo knows he ought to resent the woman who’s determined to take from him the only job he ever wanted. But instead of anger, Meg evokes within him a profound desire to protect. The more time he spends with her, the more he longs to overcome every obstacle that separates them and earn her love.
Just when Meg realizes she can no longer deny the depth of her feelings for Bo, their fragile bond is broken by a force from Meg’s past. Can their relationship–and their belief that God can work through every circumstance–survive?
My take on this book:
"Undeniably Yours" is the story of Meg Cole and Bo Porter. After the death of her father just three months ago, Meg Cole found herself with the controlling interest in her father's oil business, along with several other holdings he had including a thoroughbred horse business that was on the Whispering Creek Ranch where he lived. While William was great at high finance, and knew the oil business well, his only child Meg, had always insisted upon living by her own means, and was just the opposite, knowing little about finance or oil. She has already been making a few changes letting people go, and her next plan is to shut down the ranch and sell the horses immediately Bo Porter isn't going to give up the horse ranch without a fight though and asks for a six months reprieve. While she gives him six months he decides he will use the time to try and change her mind. Will she keep the horse farm, and what about the feelings that develop between the two?
I found myself drawn into this very well written romance, and could easily understand Meg Cole. She had been thrown into a multi-million dollar business and was struggling with not only that responsibility but also was dealing with a relationship issue that kept her frazzled. I thought it was neat that she used Sudoku puzzles and antacids as her crutches! Bo was a great character, he had a protectors spirit and felt drawn to protect Meg. I loved watching their story unfold and couldn't help but hope for a happily ever after. I found the depth of feeling along with the inspirational slant and the characters faith made this a standout story for me. Ms. Wade created realistic characters that depict what most of us are looking for in life, love and acceptance blended together with the message of putting faith in God made this a page turning contemporary read.
