Feisty wedding photographer Hannah McDermott has dealt with her share of difficult brides. But none can compare to the ultimate Bridezilla she's dealing with now. Still, she's trying desperately to impress Bella Neeley, Galveston Island's most sought-after wedding planner, so she can take the top spot in Bella's list of recommended photographers--a spot currently occupied by her arch-rival, Drew Kincaid. What she doesn't count on, however, is falling head over heels for the competition.
With her contagious humor and cast of quirky characters, Janice Thompson gives readers more of the bridal business drama they want in a brand-new series all about those long-suffering people who make beautiful weddings happen. Readers are desperately waiting for more of Bella and this new series brings her back in a big way, while introducing new characters fans will love. Fans will laugh out loud as they experience this breezy and entertaining novel from a great storyteller.

My take on this book:
I have been reading Janice Thompson's books for a while and one thing I always look forward to is the humorous slant that I always find. Well I got humor and and interesting cast of characters in "Picture Perfect." The first book in the Weddings by Design series.I was actually excited to find some of the characters from her older series showing up in this book. I did think the beginning of this one was a bit slow, but I really think it was because we were being introduced to the cast of characters. The main character in this story is Hannah McDermott, who says that her life has been a series of almosts. She has a fear of not being good enough and often finds herself in second place. She still lives at home with her parents, and is trying to get her fledgling photography career off the ground. A famous country star is getting married and the job would be the one to really boost her career, thing is she worries that the competition Drew Kincaid just might cause her to land in second place once again! Thing is she becomes smitten with Drew. Will it be a "Picture Perfect" romance, oh no you can guess with Janice Thompson there's gonna be plenty of bumps and laughs along the way! A fun story that provided more than a few laughs, along with a fun cast of characters that has me longing for the next book in the series!
