“Cast all your cares on him.” “Love the Lord with all your heart.” “I can do all things . . . .” You’d be surprised how often the word “all” appears in the Bible—thousands of times. And with each description of God’s comprehensive promises, each reminder of our complete blessing in Christ, each appeal for our full and total surrender, His reputation grows larger before our eyes.

We see again what He can do. We see again who we can be.

From Robert J. Morgan (100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart, Then Sings My Soul) comes All to Jesus, a choice sampling of the Bible’s most “all”-encompassing statements, surrounded each day by inspiring stories, personal reflections, and the encouraging assurance that you are cared for in ways you never imagined.

Derived from the pages of real life and a pastor’s heart, each daily reading meets you in an ever-deeper place, revealing God’s immeasurable power and keen attention to the smallest detail. Truly, He is all you need. All year long.

My take on this devotional:

I have been collecting devotionals for several years, and enjoy incorporating them into my daily Bible reading. With "All To Jesus" I was challenged to think about the tiny three letter word all. I was actually surprised that the word appears 5675 times in the Bible.Mr Morgan chooses 365 of the verses that have the word all to make up this wonderful little devotional.

Each devotional is one page in length, and starts the reader out with a scripture verse, then a few paragraphs that discuss and further explain the verse. I really liked the simplicity of this devotional, it is a bit compact but the script is easy on the eye. I also found the dustjacket on the book very pretty, the scene is calming. There are several blank pages at the back of the book for notes, prayers etc.

Overall, the size of this book makes it portable and easy to use,if I could change one thing about the book it would be wider margins because I enjoy jotting down notes in my devotionals as I do my Bible study.  A devotional that really got me to thinking about the word "all," and actually has me wanting to ferret out the other verses that contain this mighty word!

A complimentary copy of this book was provided in exchange for an honest review.
