Book Description from Amazon.com:

February 21, 2012 Crossroads Crisis Center
Small town scandal. International terrorist attack. Who among them is the traitor?
Sara and Beth have built a multi-million dollar business together, but their once solid friendship is now strained. Beth is leery of Sara’s husband, and when he is kidnapped, authorities consider Beth their prime suspect.

Then, their small town of Seagrove Village is rocked by an act of terrorism, and Beth doesn’t know who to trust. Someone she knows is linked to the attack, but who? Is there a connection to Crossroads Crisis Center? In the midst of the confusion and fear, Beth finds herself attracted to a man from her past. She knows she shouldn’t fall in love with him, but she can’t resist or even explain their bond. As her world unravels around her, she wonders, is it possible to be beyond redemption?

My take on this book:
Beth Dawson and Sara Jones-Tayson have created a highly successful  computer software company called SaBe in the tiny town of Seagrove Village. It was widely known that their company often helped the government. When a terrorist attack takes place during a wedding the first person on the scene is Detective Jeff Meyers and he can't help but wonder if the attack doesn't have something to do with a former case. When Sara's husband is kidnapped, the main suspect is Beth. Who is behind all this? Can they figure it out before it's to late?
There was plenty of action in this book from the beginning pages. The plot moves along at a super charged pace with plenty of twists and turns that kept me on my toes.I thought the characters seemed real and quite believable. While there were Christian themes woven into the story but it was well done and didn't seem overwhelming. Even though this book is the third in the series it isn't necessary to read the first two books because the author provides enough background information so that this story can easily stand alone.

Overall a fast paced suspense, mystery novel with a romance woven in, filled with several twists and turns along the way. There is also a reading guide included that would make this book perfect for group reads.

A complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

  1. Thanks for the review. I just got this one and was wondering if I needed to read book 2 first. (I read book 1 a few years back.) Anyway, I always enjoy your take on the books.

  2. Hey Beckie, thanks for dropping by, I actually read book one in the series but missed book two or vice versa, and had no problems with this one. It really grabbed me from the first few pages, and was a good change of pace from the historical and Amish fiction that I have been reading. Have a fantastic week.
