From the Back Cover
Sometimes love requires a little forgetting.
A beautiful blanket of snow may cover the town of Deep Haven each winter, but it can’t quite hide the wreckage of Noelle and Eli Hueston’s marriage. After twenty-five years, they’re on the brink of divorce when an accident erases part of Noelle’s memory. Though her other injuries are minor, she doesn’t remember Eli, their children, or the tragedy that has ripped them apart.
What’s more, Noelle is shocked that her life turned out nothing like she dreamed it would. What happened to her ambitions? Could she really be married to this grizzly man?
As she steps back into her role as wife and mother, Eli attempts to help with both humorous and heartwarming results. But can she fall in love again with a man she can’t remember? Will the secrets she discovers destroy them . . . or has erasing the past given them a chance for the future?

My take on this book:
What a story. When tragedy strikes Noelle's family instead of pulling them together it drives them apart. So much so that the marriage in in shambles. Then an accident occurs that causes Noelle's memory to be erased. She doesn't remember her husband, her children or the reason why her marriage is in shambles. Will the loss of her memory help her regain what she held important in life, could it be the second chance that her marriage needs?
This is one of those stories that slowly works its way into your brain and has you thinking what if. I couldn't imagine being in Noelle's shoes, having an accident waking up and realizing that twenty plus years of memories are wiped away. As she comes to realize that her marriage had been disintegrating she can't help but wonder how her life turned out the way it did. It was easy to like the characters in this story, and as the story progressed I couldn't help but hope that the marriage would be saved and that Noelle and her husband might get a second chance.
A contemporary story with a small town setting that weaves together several spiritual messages together with a compelling family story of tragedy and loss that stayed with me long after the final page. While this book is part of Deep Haven Series it can easily be read as a stand alone work. Although for me reading this one makes me want to go back and read all the books in the series. Highly recommended!
