From the Back Cover:

Her heart is tied to a youthful vow . . . but can true love set it free?
Ten years ago, Emma Malloy fled Dublin for Boston, running for her life. Her emotional wounds have finally faded, and her life is now full of purpose and free from the pain of her past. But when she falls for her friend Charity's handsome and charming brother, Sean O'Connor, fear and shame threaten to destroy her. Could Sean and Emma ever have a future together? Or is Emma doomed to live out the rest of her life denying the only true love she's ever known?

Filled with intense passion and longing, deception and revelation, A Heart Revealed will hold you in its grip until the very last page.

My take on this book:
I really enjoyed this book from start to finish, from the characters plot, and the historical aspect of the Depression there really wasn't anything I could find to dislike with this one.
"A Heart Revealed" continues with the story of the O'Connor family, and in this book we get the story of Sean O'Connor and Emma Malloy. Even though Emma has lived in Boston for ten years she still carries the scars of the painful past that she left behind in Dublin. She finds herself drawn to Sean a wonderful man who also has his share of heartache and regret. Can the two somehow find love and healing together?
The great thing about Julie Lessman's books is the fact that they are rich in detail she has the uncanny ability to make a scene come to life with the words she chooses.I easily felt like I was being transported right into the scenes with the characters of the book. From the descriptions of the smells, to the type of candy bar one of the characters liked, the book literally came alive for me. While Emma and Sean are the main characters  we also get plenty of secondary players that keep the plot moving along.
While I actually read the first book in the Winds of Change series, I felt like the author gave enough background information on the characters that this book could actually be a stand alone read, although I think the series is so good your going to want to read the first book as well. If your looking for a good historical romance that allows the reader to watch the characters change and grow, your in for a treat with this book. While there is a spiritual message woven throughout the book it isn't overdone, and was actually quite uplifting and inspirational.

I don't know if you're interested, but since you already posted a wonderful review, I thought I would mention I am running a newsletter contest where posting reviews for AHR will not only enter you to receive a signed copy of Steven's story next year, but a $50 gift card and the chance to have a character named after you in that book. If that sounds like something you'd like to do, you'll find info on my website under the "contest" tab or at the link below. But if not, NO WORRIES, okay?
