My take on this devotional:
I am a huge fan of using devotionals. I like the idea of being guided daily toward particular scriptures, and usually I am much more faithful in reading my Bible when I use a devotional rather than trying to go it alone. With "The 365 Most Important Bible Passages For You" I found myself using the table of contents to pick and choose which pages I wanted to read. Actually the table of contents is very user friendly and makes it easy to read it this way. It is broken down into seven subheadings such as A Beginning, A Journey, A Kingdom,Dissolution, Interlude, The Promised One,and Multiplication. At the beginning of each section(for each subheading) their is a brief introduction as well as a Bible verse that was actually like a tiny bonus for me. The devotions in this book start out with a scripture and then a reflection. I like the fact that the author didn't just use one type of Bible translation instead I noticed verses from the NKJV, MSG,NASB, and the NIV to name a few.Overall, if your looking for a devotional or just a way to add a bit more scripture into your day, this little book is perfect. Each daily reading took me approx five minutes so it was easy to find time in my day to do. I think this devotional would make a great little gift as well.
Jonathan is the brother of a friend of mine. I didn't know about this book. Thanks for the review.
