The Final Hour by Andrew Klavan ~ review

The Final Hour (The Homelanders)

Product Description

The Homelanders are attacking-and it's Charlie's last chance to stop them.
Charlie West was an ordinary high school kid who went to bed one night and woke up in the clutches of terrorists and wanted by the police for murder. He also woke up with no memory of the events of the last year.
His memory is returning now and has brought the terrible realization that he knows when the terrorists are going to strike next.
Whatever it takes, Charlie knows he can't give in or give up until they're stopped . . . even when the final hour is ticking away.

My take on this book:
This book is the fourth and final installment of The Homelander series by Andrew Klavan, and its a fast paced story that will hold  your attention  from beginning to end.
Charlie West isn't your average teen. The book opens up with Charlie in jail for a murder he didn't commit, and after a pretty brutal fight in the prison yard parts of his memory start to come back. Turns out he had taken a drug that would cause amnesia to protect the Waterman's secrets from the Homelanders, but in essence that drug wiped out a year of his life.As his memory starts to return he realizes that there is going to be a terrorist strike can he stop them before its to late?

It had been awhile since I had read any of this series, but actually the author does a pretty good job of weaving in enough background information that you can read this story without being lost, but to understand the full scope of the story a person really needs to read the entire series.
This book really is a good/versus evil kind of story, that is a good clean action packed read for teens. There are christian elements woven into the story but it isn't overwhelming at all. I think teen boys would certainly love this book, but actually even though its classified as a juvenile read, it is an action packed story that I think would appeal to anyone who enjoys mystery and suspense.
