From the Back Cover

The prayers of Psalms are deep with feelings of joy, fear, shame, sadness, and at times inconsolable rage. Our God in heaven awaits on His throne, pleased to receive the prayers of His children. Psalms is a study that helps broaden and deepen our understanding and experience of prayer by looking at the prayers of some of our spiritual ancestors: David, Moses, Asaph, and others. These prayers give us myriad examples of how we are to pray and what we are to pray for—examples God expects us to follow and emulate.

My review : Psalms is a book in the Life Change series by NavPress it would be a great study guide for the individual person or would also be great used in a group setting. Since the layout of this book is very simple and straight forward I think it would be an easy study guide for the new christian or someone a little more seasoned in God's word who wants to do a more in depth study of the book of Psalms.
I really like the clear concise way that each lesson is set up with questions  for thought and discussion as well as a section called which are questions that give way for more personal reflection. I would have to say that overall my favorite part of the lesson was the exercise called For Further Study,  in this section we are often given scripture to look up on our own that is usually outside the book of Psalms that ties into the lesson we are being taught, so when you finish a lesson in addition to learning more about Psalms you are actually directed to scripture that is very pertinent to what is being taught about Psalms.
I would recommend this book to anyone young or old who is looking for a simple straight forward way to study the book of Psalms.
