The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros Gallery Pocket Book Tour

The Devil Wears Plaidsynopsis from Goodreads:
AN INNOCENT WOMAN

Emmaline Marlow is about to wed the ancient patriarch of the Hepburn clan to save her father from debtor's prison when the Hepburn's sworn enemy Jamie Sinclair bursts into the abbey on a magnificent black horse and whisks her away. Jamie is everything her bridegroom is not--young, handsome, virile...and a perilous temptation for her yearning heart.

A DANGEROUS MAN

Jamie expects Emma to be some milksop English miss, not a spirited beauty who will defy him at every turn. All of his plans to use her as a pawn in the centuries old Highland feud begin to go awry when irresistible passion flares between the two of them. A man can kidnap a bride, but is it possible for him to steal her innocence without losing his own heart?

My take on this book:
All I can say is WOW this author really knows how to grab your attention!!!

Usually when I read a book it often takes a few chapters before I  really get into what is going on with the characters not so with this book.
The heroine of the book young  Emmaline Marlowe, is standing at the alter about to be wed to an 80 yr old Laird to save her family from financial ruin. With second thoughts running thru her head about the wedding, but knowing she has no choice, she is about to say her vows when the abbey doors are thrown open and a group of armed ruffians burst in. The leader of this motley gang actually has the audacity to ride his big black horse right into the abbey and down the aisle toward the bride and groom.
The rider of the horse turns out to be none other than Jamie Sinclair the sworn enemy of the groom. When Jamie actually kidnaps Emma, she isn't sure what will happen but the one thing she knows is she is relieved to have her wedding interrupted.
All of this action happened by the eleventh page of the book. The story just keeps getting better from there. The storyline keeps moving at such a quick pace with action, drama, suspense, romance, mystery, along with a humorous edge, the verbal sparring between Emma and Jamie actually had me laughing out loud on a few occasions. that I was captivated until the last page.
I couldn't put this book down, I stayed up till 2 am finishing it, even though I had to be at work by 8 am. It was just that good! There was no way that I was putting it down until I knew how Emma and Jamie's story finished.
I easily rate this book a five and would say if you get the chance Read It.

Even though I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for a review it in no way alters my opinion of this book.
