When I started this book I couldn't put it down. This is a story about John and Abby Reynolds. Everyone thinks they have the perfect marriage. Everyone but them. They have been married for 21 yrs and are ready to divorce. She thinks he is having an affair and he is jealous of an online friendship. When in truth they simply grew apart life sort of got in the way of marriage. When they decide to divorce the only thing they need to do is tell the children, but when their daughter announces she wants to get married in 6 months they put their plans on hold so they won't ruin her plans.
Can they continue with the charade for six months?
When family tragedy strikes will it bring them back together or will it finally be the thing that tears them apart?
I have always been a fan of Karen Kingsbury and this book doesn't disappoint. Even though we kinda know in the beginning what will happen in the end I was still captivated by the story. The emotion the writer brings out in her characters can almost be felt as you turn the pages. I look forward to reading the second book in this series.
