Grounded in carefully selected Scripture, Believe, NIV is a unique spiritual growth experience that takes you on a journey to think, act, and be more like Jesus. General editor and pastor Randy Frazee walks you through the ten key Beliefs of the Christian faith, the ten key Practices of a Jesus-follower, and the ten key Virtues that characterize someone who is becoming more like Jesus. Every believer needs to ask these three questions:

WHAT DO I BELIEVE?

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

WHO AM I BECOMING?

Each chapter uses short topical passages from the New International Version to help you live the story of the Bible. As you journey through this book, whether in a group or on your own, one simple truth will become undeniably clear: what you believe drives everything.

Using this edition of Believe, church families around the globe can now embrace a full ministry year through worship services, small group studies, and family activities. Learn more about this church-wide experience at BelieveTheStory.com.

My take on this book:
When it comes to the Bible do you ever wonder what you should believe and why? Well Believe by Randy Frazee just might help you figure out the answers to those questions. This book is broken down into three sections with ten chapters in each section. The first section is titled think: and I found myself doing just that as I read thru the chapters. It really made me think about what I believe and why. The second section is titled act and with this one it  helps you figure out what you should do in order to be closer to God. The final section is be and it shares insight into who we become as we learn to follow God. There were several things that I liked about this book. First of all it uses the NIV version for scriptures and I like that there are plenty of scripture reference to back up what the author is saying. While not an easy read, I felt like it was a useful read because it shares the ideas of why we believe what we believe. I think this book would be extremely useful for a new believer, but think that a more seasoned Christian would benefit from it as well. There are plenty of discussion questions included which would make this book good for group study. Overall anyone looking to grow spiritually by gaining greater knowledge about what it truly means to be a follower of Jesus should check out this book. For me I plan on slowly rereading this book in order to glean the most information from it.
