My take on this book:
I don't normally read chick lit so I thought this book might be different from my normal read, and boy was I right! There were several things that I really enjoyed about the book. First of all, I really liked the characters, and the mishaps that seemed befall the character of Jennifer were often laugh out loud funny. It seemed like if something could go wrong it would go wrong.From a bad honeymoon to a wacked out mother-in law there was never a dull moment! The writing is sharp and witty and really captured the essence of the ups and downs of being a newlywed.Overall a story that gave me more than a few laughs. The only thing that bothered me was the anti christian feeling I got from the story, and honestly that could be my fault because I read mostly christian based stories.

Sharp and witty is good for me. I will be looking out for anti Christian sentiments in the novel as I'm curious about that.
ReplyDeleteHarvee, I read so much christian fiction that honestly it could have just been me. I have been trying to step outside my comfort reading zone a bit and broaden my horizons. I really did enjoy the story, and if you enjoy humor your going to enjoy this book. Thank you so much for dropping by.
